Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, bathing, and grooming.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in stimulating activities.
- Prepare healthy meals and assist with feeding as needed.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Assist with medication reminders and appointments.
- Accurately document care provided and report any changes in client condition.
- Travel between client homes efficiently and safely, with paid travel time and mileage.
- Adhere to all MUSC Health policies and procedures, ensuring client safety and well-being.
Required Skills
- Compassionate and patient demeanor.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Basic first aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a caregiving role (e.g., Home Health Aide, Certified Nursing Assistant).
