Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Commissioning Engineer to join our dynamic team in Tacoma, WA. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and oversee commissioning activities for industrial automation and control systems.
- Perform pre-commissioning checks, functional testing, and integrated system testing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the commissioning phase.
- Collaborate with project managers, design engineers, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
- Develop and maintain commissioning documentation, including test reports and operational manuals.
- Provide technical support and training to client personnel on system operation and maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, project specifications, and quality requirements.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities for commissioning processes.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in commissioning, field service, or controls engineering.
- Proficiency with PLC programming (e.g., Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000), SCADA systems, and HMI development.
- Strong understanding of industrial networking protocols (e.g., Profinet, Ethernet/IP, Modbus).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&ID diagrams, and control narratives.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client and team collaboration.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one.
- Experience with various industrial sensors, actuators, and instrumentation.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices for industrial control systems.
- Project management experience or certifications.
