Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Commercial Bank Teller with a strong focus on business clients to join our team in the bustling Financial District of New York. This role is crucial in delivering exceptional service to our business account holders, handling complex transactions, and fostering strong client relationships. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, a meticulous approach to financial operations, and a proactive mindset to identify client needs and offer appropriate banking solutions. This is a Monday-Friday position, ensuring a consistent work schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Process a variety of complex commercial banking transactions for business clients, including large deposits, withdrawals, wire transfers, and account inquiries.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and adherence to bank policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Identify and address client needs, cross-selling appropriate bank products and services when opportunities arise.
- Assist business clients with inquiries regarding their accounts, statements, and online banking services.
- Manage cash drawer, reconcile daily transactions, and ensure proper vault procedures.
- Develop and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with business clients.
- Collaborate with branch management and other banking professionals to ensure seamless client service.
- Educate clients on digital banking tools and services to enhance their banking experience.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a banking or financial services role, preferably with exposure to commercial or business clients.
- Demonstrated strong cash handling and balancing skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in banking software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
- Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
