Job Description
We are actively seeking experienced and compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our dynamic team at HCA Houston Healthcare Northeast. This is an exceptional opportunity for qualified RNs to make a significant impact on patient lives while benefiting from a generous $20,000 sign-on bonus. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct patient care, assessing patient needs, developing and implementing care plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records.
- Administer medications, change dressings, and assist physicians during treatments and examinations.
- Monitor, record, and report symptoms and changes in patients' conditions.
- Provide advanced care for critical patients, including ventilator management and continuous medication infusions.
- Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to licensed practical nurses and other support staff.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
Required Skills
- Current Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Specialty certification in area of practice (e.g., CCRN, CEN)
- Experience in an HCA facility
