Job Description
Are you passionate about cabinet hardware and possess a keen eye for design and functionality? Richelieu Hardware is seeking a dedicated Cabinet Hardware Pro with a specialized focus on handles and hinges to join our team in Richmond, BC. In this role, you will be the go-to expert for our professional clients, providing unparalleled product knowledge, technical support, and exceptional customer service. You will guide customers through our extensive selection, helping them choose the perfect hardware solutions that meet their project specifications and aesthetic preferences. This position requires a strong understanding of various hardware types, installation methods, and design trends, particularly concerning cabinet handles, pulls, and hinges.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary expert for cabinet handles, pulls, and hinges, offering in-depth product knowledge and technical specifications to clients.
- Assist professional customers (cabinet makers, contractors, designers) in selecting appropriate hardware based on their project requirements, budget, and design vision.
- Provide accurate quotes, process orders, and manage inventory related to handles and hinges.
- Stay current with industry trends, new product releases, and competitive offerings in cabinet hardware.
- Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions for clients as needed.
- Troubleshoot product-related issues and provide solutions or escalate concerns to appropriate channels.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked showroom/display area for cabinet hardware.
- Collaborate with the sales team to achieve targets and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with clients.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in hardware sales or a related field, with a focus on cabinet hardware.
- Expert knowledge of various types of cabinet handles, pulls, and hinges (e.g., concealed, butt, overlay, inset, soft-close).
- Strong understanding of cabinet construction and installation principles.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and blueprints.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office, CRM software).
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in interior design, woodworking, or a related trade.
- Experience working with professional contractors, cabinet manufacturers, or designers.
- Familiarity with Richelieu Hardware product lines.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
