Job Description
We are looking for enthusiastic and diligent Berry Pickers to join our seasonal team in Blairgowrie, Perthshire, Scotland. This is a temporary, on-site role perfect for individuals seeking an active outdoor job with the added convenience of on-site lodging. You will be responsible for carefully harvesting a variety of soft fruits, ensuring quality and efficiency. No prior experience is necessary, as full training will be provided. Come and experience working amidst the beautiful Scottish countryside!
Key Responsibilities
- Carefully pick ripe berries, including strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries, ensuring minimal damage.
- Sort berries by quality, discarding any unsuitable fruit.
- Place picked fruit into appropriate punnets or containers.
- Follow instructions from supervisors regarding picking techniques and daily targets.
- Adhere to all farm health and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Work efficiently as part of a team to meet daily production goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (rain, sun, wind).
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Attention to detail to ensure quality picking.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in agricultural work or fruit picking is a plus, but not required.
