Job Description

We are looking for enthusiastic and diligent Berry Pickers to join our seasonal team in Blairgowrie, Perthshire, Scotland. This is a temporary, on-site role perfect for individuals seeking an active outdoor job with the added convenience of on-site lodging. You will be responsible for carefully harvesting a variety of soft fruits, ensuring quality and efficiency. No prior experience is necessary, as full training will be provided. Key Responsibilities

  • Carefully pick ripe berries, including strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries, ensuring minimal damage.
  • Sort berries by quality, discarding any unsuitable fruit.
  • Place picked fruit into appropriate punnets or containers.
  • Follow instructions from supervisors regarding picking techniques and daily targets.
  • Adhere to all farm health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area.
  • Work efficiently as part of a team to meet daily production goals.

Required Skills

  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
  • Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (rain, sun, wind).
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Attention to detail to ensure quality picking.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
  • Reliability and a strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in agricultural work or fruit picking is a plus, but not required.
