Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and energetic Back of House Porter to join our dedicated team. This vital role ensures the smooth operation of our hotel’s support functions, focusing on inventory management, cleanliness, and general back-of-house logistics. You will be instrumental in maintaining the high standards of our facilities, ensuring all departments have the necessary supplies, and upholding a pristine environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain inventory levels for various hotel departments, including linens, cleaning supplies, and guest amenities.
  • Receive, unpack, and store deliveries efficiently and accurately, ensuring proper rotation and organization.
  • Transport goods, equipment, and materials safely and promptly throughout the hotel premises.
  • Perform regular cleaning tasks in back-of-house areas, including storerooms, loading docks, staff facilities, and corridors.
  • Assist with waste management and recycling initiatives, ensuring proper disposal procedures are followed.
  • Support event setup and breakdown by moving furniture, equipment, and other items as required.
  • Conduct routine checks of facilities for maintenance issues and report them promptly.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operational flow and guest satisfaction.

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving heavy items.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for inventory management.
