Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Auto Body Technician / Panel Beater to join our team in Georgetown, Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing and restoring damaged vehicle bodies, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. This role requires expertise in various auto body repair techniques, including frame straightening, panel replacement, and dent removal. Key Responsibilities
- Assess vehicle damage and create detailed repair plans.
- Perform panel beating, welding, and frame straightening.
- Replace and repair body panels, doors, and other components.
- Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Utilize appropriate tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Prepare vehicles for painting and reassembly.
- Collaborate with painters, estimators, and other technicians.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an Auto Body Technician or Panel Beater.
- Proficiency in welding (MIG, TIG) and panel replacement.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle body construction and repair techniques.
- Ability to use frame machines, measuring systems, and various hand tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of a recognized automotive body repair apprenticeship or trade certification.
- I-CAR or other industry-recognized certifications.
- Experience with a variety of vehicle makes and models.
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.
