Job Description
Are you passionate about cars and looking for a dynamic role where you’re constantly on the move? ADESA Canada is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Auto Auction Lot Driver to join our team in Red Deer. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving a variety of vehicles across our auction lot, preparing them for sale, and ensuring the smooth flow of operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who enjoy driving different types of vehicles daily and thrive in a fast-paced environment. No two days are the same when you’re driving a diverse fleet from luxury sedans to heavy-duty trucks, ensuring they are positioned perfectly for auction.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently drive and park vehicles of varying makes, models, and sizes across the auction lot.
- Inspect vehicles for visible damage or missing items and report findings accurately.
- Ensure vehicles are staged correctly for auction events, photo shoots, or transportation.
- Assist with jump-starting vehicles as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding vehicle movement and status.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including traffic and parking regulations on the lot.
Required Skills
- Valid Class 5 driver's license (or equivalent) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Physical ability to walk, stand, and enter/exit vehicles frequently throughout the shift.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience driving a variety of vehicles in a professional setting (e.g., car dealership, rental agency, delivery driver).
- Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics and safe vehicle operation.
- Familiarity with auction environments.
