Job Description
Join Deloitte’s Audit & Assurance practice as an Intern for our Spring Cohort. Key Responsibilities
- Assist audit teams in planning, executing, and completing audit engagements for diverse clients.
- Perform substantive testing and analytical procedures on financial statements.
- Prepare audit documentation to support conclusions.
- Participate in client meetings and interviews, gathering relevant information.
- Conduct research on accounting standards and industry trends.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve audit issues.
- Utilize audit software and technology tools to enhance efficiency.
- Maintain strict adherence to professional standards and ethical guidelines.
Required Skills
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications
- Progress towards CPA eligibility (e.g., 150 credit hours completed or in progress).
- Previous internship or relevant work experience in accounting or finance.
- Active involvement in student organizations (e.g., Beta Alpha Psi).
- Strong academic record (GPA of 3.0 or higher).
