Job Description
Join Audible as a Home-Based Audiobook Transcriptionist and play a crucial role in bringing spoken stories to life in text format. This is a 100% remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere. You will be responsible for accurately transcribing audio content from a diverse range of audiobooks, ensuring high quality and fidelity to the original recording. This role contributes directly to enhancing accessibility and the overall listener experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe audio content from various audiobook genres into written text.
- Ensure strict adherence to company style guides, formatting guidelines, and transcription standards.
- Proofread and meticulously edit transcriptions for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and clarity.
- Manage workload efficiently to meet deadlines for multiple projects, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to incorporate feedback and continuously improve transcription accuracy.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all audio content and project-related information.
- Utilize transcription software and tools effectively to optimize workflow.
Required Skills
- Exceptional listening skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Fast and accurate typing speed (minimum 60 words per minute).
- Familiarity with common transcription software and tools.
