Job Description

We are seeking a highly analytical and data-driven Pinterest Business Analyst to join our Strategy & Insights team. In this role, you will be instrumental in extracting actionable insights from Pinterest’s vast data, influencing product, growth, and business strategies. You will analyze user behavior, market trends, and content performance to identify opportunities and drive strategic decisions across the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of Pinterest user behavior, content engagement, and platform performance.
  • Identify key trends, opportunities, and challenges through data exploration and statistical modeling.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor critical business metrics and communicate insights to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, marketing, and sales teams to define hypotheses, design experiments, and evaluate impact.
  • Present findings and recommendations to leadership, influencing strategic decisions and product roadmaps.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity, contributing to the improvement of data infrastructure and tooling.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience in business analysis, data analysis, or a similar quantitative role (minimum 3 years).
  • Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and experimental design.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Economics, Computer Science).
  • Experience with Python or R for statistical analysis and data modeling.
  • Understanding of the social media or digital advertising landscape.
  • Previous experience working with large-scale, complex datasets.
  • Experience specifically with Pinterest's platform or similar visual discovery platforms.
