Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Inquiry Evaluator with a strong focus on legal technology to join our dynamic team. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home. In this role, you will be responsible for meticulously evaluating and responding to various legal inquiries, leveraging cutting-edge legal technology tools to streamline processes and enhance efficiency. You will play a critical part in supporting Apple’s legal operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely resolution of legal matters related to our products and services. The ideal candidate will possess a keen analytical mind, excellent communication skills, and a passion for technology’s application in the legal field.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, analyze, and process a high volume of diverse legal inquiries, including subpoenas, court orders, and data requests.
- Utilize and optimize legal technology platforms and tools to manage cases, track progress, and ensure data integrity.
- Conduct thorough legal research and fact-finding to support inquiry responses, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and internal policies.
- Collaborate closely with internal legal counsel, privacy teams, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and provide comprehensive responses.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development of best practices within the legal operations team.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to data privacy regulations.
- Prepare clear, concise, and accurate summaries and reports on inquiry trends and outcomes.
- Assist in training new team members on legal inquiry processes and technology usage.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a legal support role (e.g., paralegal, legal assistant, legal operations specialist).
- Demonstrated proficiency with legal technology tools and platforms (e.g., e-discovery software, legal case management systems).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interpret legal documents and apply relevant regulations.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace or similar productivity suites.
- Understanding of data privacy principles and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Paralegal certification or equivalent legal training.
- Experience working with global legal teams and understanding international legal frameworks.
- Previous experience at a technology company or in a highly regulated industry.
- Familiarity with intellectual property, consumer law, or information security.
