Job Description

Transport Canada is seeking a dedicated Trainee Aviation Safety Inspector Assistant to join our team in Barrie, Ontario. This role is designed for individuals with little to no prior experience, offering comprehensive training and mentorship to develop expertise in supporting aviation safety inspections and regulatory compliance. You will work closely with experienced Aviation Safety Inspectors, contributing to the rigorous standards that uphold Canada’s world-class aviation system. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Aviation Safety Inspectors in conducting routine inspections of aircraft, air operators, and aviation facilities.
  • Support the preparation and review of inspection reports, documentation, and compliance records.
  • Learn and apply relevant aviation regulations, standards, and safety procedures.
  • Participate in training programs and mentorship activities to enhance knowledge of aviation safety principles.
  • Help organize and maintain inspection equipment and resources.
  • Conduct preliminary research and gather data to support inspection activities.
  • Assist in responding to inquiries related to aviation safety standards and regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all government policies and procedures.
