Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our growing telehealth team. This is a fully remote position, offering you the flexibility to provide high-quality mental healthcare from anywhere in Louisiana. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supportive psychotherapy to an adult patient population. Our ideal candidate is passionate about delivering patient-centered care through a virtual platform and is committed to improving access to mental health services.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management.
- Provide supportive psychotherapy and crisis intervention as needed.
- Monitor and evaluate patient response to treatment, adjusting plans accordingly.
- Collaborate with primary care providers and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR).
- Educate patients and families on mental health conditions and treatment options.
- Adhere to all state and federal regulations, ethical guidelines, and company policies.
Required Skills
- Current, unrestricted PMHNP license in Louisiana.
- Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a practicing PMHNP.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and telehealth platforms.
- Excellent diagnostic, treatment planning, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload effectively.
- Strong commitment to patient privacy and ethical practice.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a telehealth setting.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
- Experience working with diverse patient populations.
- DEA registration.
