Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in collecting, cleaning, and preparing data for analysis under senior guidance.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Develop and maintain basic dashboards and reports using data visualization tools.
  • Support senior Data Scientists in building and testing statistical models.
  • Document data processes, methodologies, and findings clearly and concisely.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, contributing ideas and learning from discussions.
  • Continuously learn new data science tools, techniques, and best practices.

Required Skills

  • Basic proficiency in Python or R for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Familiarity with SQL for querying databases.
  • Understanding of fundamental statistical concepts.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for data science and a strong willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib/Seaborn).
  • Completed online courses or bootcamps in data science or related fields.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure).
