Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Instrument Sales Representative to join our dynamic sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our cutting-edge scientific instruments to a diverse customer base, including academic institutions, research laboratories, pharmaceutical companies, and industrial clients in the Henderson, NV territory. This position offers a competitive base salary along with uncapped commission potential based on your sales performance. You will be instrumental in building strong customer relationships, understanding their unique needs, and providing tailored solutions that leverage our extensive portfolio of analytical instruments. A strong technical aptitude combined with excellent sales skills is essential for success in this challenging yet rewarding role.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets within the assigned territory.
- Identify and prospect new sales opportunities while nurturing existing client relationships.
- Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and technical discussions to showcase instrument capabilities.
- Collaborate with technical support and product management teams to provide comprehensive solutions to customers.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and expense accounts.
- Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and sales meetings as required.
- Negotiate contracts and close sales to maximize revenue and profitability.
Required Skills
- Proven track record in sales, preferably within scientific instruments, medical devices, or a related technical field.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of the sales cycle and customer relationship management.
- Ability to comprehend and articulate complex technical information.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the assigned territory.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Engineering) or a related field.
- Previous experience selling analytical instruments (e.g., spectroscopy, chromatography, mass spectrometry).
- Established network of contacts within the scientific research community in the Henderson/Las Vegas area.
- Familiarity with laboratory workflows and research applications.
