Job Description
Are you looking for an opportunity to contribute to a greener future while enjoying flexible weekend work? Sunrun is seeking dedicated and reliable Part-time Solar Cleaners to join our Oakland team. This role involves maintaining the efficiency and longevity of residential and commercial solar panel installations through meticulous cleaning. You’ll be working outdoors, primarily on rooftops, ensuring our customers’ solar systems perform at their peak. No prior solar cleaning experience is required; we provide comprehensive training and all necessary safety equipment. Key Responsibilities
- Safely access and navigate residential and commercial rooftops to clean solar panels.
- Utilize specialized cleaning tools and methods to remove dirt, dust, and debris without damaging panels.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and procedures, including proper use of harnesses and fall protection.
- Maintain and care for company-provided cleaning equipment and tools.
- Report any panel damage or system issues observed during cleaning to the supervisor.
- Work efficiently and effectively to meet cleaning schedules and quality standards.
Required Skills
- Ability to work safely and comfortably at heights and on rooftops.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
- Excellent physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable transportation to various job sites in the Oakland area.
- Commitment to following safety guidelines and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in outdoor manual labor, landscaping, or construction.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools.
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions.
- Valid California Driver's License and a clean driving record.
