Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Crude Oil Measurement Aide to join our operations team in Columbus, Ohio. This vital role is perfect for individuals with a strong aptitude for mathematics and a desire for stable employment within the energy sector. As a Crude Oil Measurement Aide, you will be responsible for accurately measuring and recording crude oil volumes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company protocols. Your precision will directly impact our operational efficiency and financial accuracy. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to learn the intricacies of crude oil handling and contribute to a critical part of our supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform accurate manual and automated measurements of crude oil volumes in tanks, trucks, and railcars using various instruments.
- Record all measurement data meticulously, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to established procedures.
- Calculate and verify crude oil volumes, temperatures, and other relevant parameters using mathematical formulas and conversion tables.
- Conduct routine calibration and maintenance checks on measurement equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Monitor crude oil transfers, ensuring proper flow and preventing spillage or contamination.
- Report any discrepancies, equipment malfunctions, or safety concerns to supervisory personnel promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, company policies, and environmental guidelines.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
