Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Baseboard Glue-Fixer for immediate, small finishing gigs. This role involves precise installation, repair, and finishing of baseboards in various residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate will be adept at working quickly and efficiently to complete small-scale projects, ensuring high-quality results. If you have a knack for hands-on work and are available for ‘Subito’ (immediate) assignments, we encourage you to apply. This is a contract position with potential for ongoing work based on performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately measure, cut, and fit baseboard trim to walls, ensuring seamless transitions and corners.
- Apply appropriate adhesives and fasteners to secure baseboards firmly in place.
- Perform necessary repairs to existing baseboards, including filling gaps, sanding, and minor touch-ups.
- Ensure all work areas are clean and tidy upon completion of each gig.
- Manage time effectively to complete assignments within specified deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with project managers and clients regarding job status and any issues encountered.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in using hand and and power tools relevant to carpentry and finishing work (e.g., miter saw, caulk gun, nail gun).
- Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for precise measurements and finishes.
- Ability to work independently and manage small projects from start to finish.
- Basic knowledge of different types of baseboard materials and their installation methods.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift moderately heavy materials and work in various positions (kneeling, bending).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in finish carpentry, trim installation, or general handyman services.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites.
- Familiarity with various types of adhesives, caulks, and fillers for finishing work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability to different project requirements.
