Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Barber Shop Floor Assistant to join our team for casual work, primarily on Saturdays. This entry-level position is perfect for someone looking to get their start in the bustling grooming industry. You will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of our shop, supporting our barbers, and enhancing the overall client experience. Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet clients upon arrival and assist with check-ins and check-outs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop floor, barber stations, and waiting areas.
- Sanitize tools and equipment according to health and safety standards.
- Manage appointment schedules and assist with client bookings.
- Stock and replenish supplies, including towels, products, and refreshments.
- Assist barbers with tasks such as caping clients and preparing for services.
- Provide refreshments to clients in the waiting area.
- Answer phones and respond to client inquiries in a professional manner.
- Contribute to a positive and welcoming atmosphere for all clients and staff.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual, especially for Saturday shifts.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proactive attitude and willingness to assist where needed.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
