Job Description
Are you a dedicated truck driver looking to maximize your earning potential without sacrificing your weekdays? Knight-Swift Logistics is seeking ‘Weekend Warrior Truckers’ to join our team in Dobson Ranch, Mesa, AZ. This specialized role offers premium pay rates for Saturday and Sunday routes, ensuring you get top dollar for your weekend commitment. You’ll be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting freight, adhering to all DOT regulations, and maintaining our high standards of service. Key Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles safely and efficiently, primarily on Saturday and Sunday routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and trailers.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of freight to designated locations.
- Maintain electronic logs in compliance with DOT regulations and company policy.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, logistics teams, and customers.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and regulations.
- Secure cargo properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation accurately.
- Represent Knight-Swift Logistics professionally at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Minimum of 1 year (12 months) verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical.
- Strong understanding of DOT Hours of Service regulations.
- Proficiency in operating Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hazmat endorsement.
- Tanker endorsement.
- Experience with various types of trailers (e.g., dry van, refrigerated).
- Prior experience with weekend-only or part-time routes.
- Familiarity with the greater Arizona and Southwest region.
