Job Description
Allied Universal is seeking dedicated and vigilant Security Professionals to join our team as a Houston Ship Channel Guard for a secure government facility located in South Bend, Indiana. This is an on-site position requiring continuous presence at the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas, both on foot and via vehicle, to deter and detect unauthorized activities.
- Monitor surveillance equipment, access control systems, and alarms, responding promptly to any irregularities.
- Control access points, verifying credentials for all personnel and visitors entering the facility.
- Enforce facility rules and regulations, ensuring compliance by all individuals on the premises.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and daily activity logs.
- Respond to emergencies such as medical incidents, fires, and security breaches according to established protocols.
- Provide a visible security presence to maintain order and protect property.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of security experience, preferably in a government or high-security environment.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform physical duties.
- Proficiency in using security equipment (e.g., radios, CCTV, access control systems).
- Must pass extensive background checks and drug screenings.
- US citizenship required for government facility access.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous military or law enforcement experience.
