Job Description
Join the compassionate team at Brookdale Senior Living as a Resident Assistant (Nursing Support) in our Rancho Cucamonga assisted living facility. In this vital role, you will provide direct care and support to our residents, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life. You will assist with daily activities, ensure their comfort and safety, and contribute to a positive and engaging community environment. This position is perfect for individuals with a heart for service, strong interpersonal skills, and a desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
- Provide assistance with mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment as needed.
- Monitor residents' health status, documenting and reporting any changes to the nursing staff.
- Engage residents in social activities, conversations, and provide emotional support.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for residents.
- Respond to resident calls and emergencies promptly and efficiently.
- Assist with medication reminders as per facility policy and resident care plans.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure coordinated care.
Required Skills

- Previous experience in a healthcare or senior living setting (e.g., home care, nursing home, hospital).
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification is a plus.
