Job Description
Are you a passionate gamer with a keen eye for detail and available on weekends? Electronic Arts is looking for enthusiastic Part-time Weekend Game Testers to join our Quality Assurance team in Columbus, OH. This entry-level role is perfect for students or anyone looking to gain experience in the video game industry. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and playability of our upcoming titles by identifying bugs, glitches, and potential issues before they reach our players.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute test plans and test cases thoroughly to identify software bugs and defects.
- Document, track, and retest defects using our bug tracking software.
- Provide clear, concise, and objective feedback on gameplay, features, and overall user experience.
- Collaborate with QA Leads and developers to ensure accurate bug reporting and resolution.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and team meetings to discuss progress and issues.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding unreleased game content.
Required Skills
- Strong passion for video games and familiarity with various gaming genres and platforms.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify subtle inconsistencies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to quickly learn new software and tools.
- Reliability and availability to work on weekends (Saturday and/or Sunday).
- Ability to follow instructions precisely and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with bug reporting tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla) is a plus but not required.
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program.
- Experience playing competitive multiplayer games.
- Familiarity with different game development stages.
