Job Description
As an Apple Cybersecurity Analyst specializing in Remote Security Operations, you will be an integral part of our global security team, dedicated to protecting Apple’s critical assets, data, and users from evolving cyber threats. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to contribute to cutting-edge security initiatives from anywhere within the United Kingdom. You will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, analyzing, and responding to security incidents across Apple’s vast and complex infrastructure. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying vulnerabilities, performing forensic analysis, and implementing preventative measures to safeguard Apple’s innovative products and services. You will work with advanced security tools and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a robust and resilient security posture.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct 24/7 security monitoring and incident response activities, including triage, investigation, and containment of security incidents.
- Utilize SIEM platforms, EDR tools, and other security technologies to detect anomalous behavior and potential threats.
- Perform in-depth analysis of security events, alerts, and logs to identify root causes and impact.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., IT, engineering, legal) during incident response and recovery efforts.
- Develop and refine security playbooks, procedures, and runbooks to enhance operational efficiency.
- Participate in threat hunting exercises to proactively identify hidden threats and vulnerabilities.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Apple's security posture through feedback and new ideas.
- Generate detailed incident reports and provide recommendations for remediation and prevention.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or incident response role.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks, such as MITRE ATT&CK, NIST.
- Proficiency with SIEM technologies (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight) and EDR solutions.
- Knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (macOS, iOS, Linux, Windows), and cloud environments.
- Experience with forensic analysis techniques and tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CEH, GIAC certifications (GCIH, GCFA).
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and data analysis.
- Familiarity with Apple's security ecosystem and products.
- Experience with cloud security platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
