Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and hardworking individuals to join our team as Overseas Harvest Operatives for the upcoming seasonal harvest period under the UK Work Scheme. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in the agricultural sector, work outdoors, and contribute to the UK’s food supply chain. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to the harvesting and preparation of fresh produce, working alongside a supportive and dynamic team in a fast-paced environment. This role is physically demanding and requires a commitment to working flexible hours, including weekends, to meet harvest demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual harvesting of various crops according to strict quality standards and procedures.
- Assist with the packing and processing of freshly harvested produce on-site or in packing facilities.
- Operate basic farm machinery or equipment after receiving appropriate training.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Work effectively as part of a team to achieve daily production targets.
- Report any issues with crops, equipment, or safety immediately to supervisors.
- Demonstrate flexibility to work across different crop types and locations as required by harvest schedules.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and stamina for demanding outdoor work, often in varying weather conditions.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work efficiently.
