Job Description

Are you passionate about food and eager to learn the art of pizza making? Pagliacci Pizza is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Pizza Maker Trainee to join our team in Capitol Hill. This is an incredible opportunity for someone with little to no experience to gain valuable culinary skills, work in a fast-paced and fun environment, and start a rewarding career immediately. We provide comprehensive on-the-job training, so all you need is a great attitude and a willingness to learn!

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn and master the art of hand-tossing dough and crafting perfect pizzas according to Pagliacci standards.
  • Prepare fresh ingredients, including chopping vegetables, portioning meats, and preparing sauces.
  • Operate pizza ovens safely and efficiently, ensuring pizzas are cooked to perfection.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Assist with inventory management, including stocking supplies and rotating ingredients.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfillment.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including attendance and conduct standards.
  • Potentially assist with customer service duties, including taking orders and handling transactions, as needed.

Required Skills

  • Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn new skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety (or willingness to learn quickly).
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or customer service role is a plus, but not required.
  • A passion for food and an interest in culinary arts.
  • Current Washington State Food Worker Card (or ability to obtain one shortly after hiring).
