Job Description
ServiceMaster Clean is seeking a dedicated and reliable Weekend Carpet Cleaning Aide to join our team in the Upper West Side of New York. This is a part-time position, ideal for individuals looking for consistent weekend work. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for those new to the cleaning industry or seeking to learn new skills. As a Carpet Cleaning Aide, you will be responsible for assisting in the professional cleaning of carpets and upholstery in various commercial and residential settings, ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead technicians in the setup and breakdown of carpet cleaning equipment.
- Operate carpet cleaning machinery safely and effectively after training.
- Pre-treat stained areas and apply appropriate cleaning solutions.
- Vacuum, shampoo, and extract dirt and grime from carpets and upholstery.
- Move furniture and other items carefully to access cleaning areas and return them to their original positions.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper function of all tools and equipment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company procedures.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients as needed.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move equipment (up to 50 lbs).
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Basic English communication skills.
