Job Description

As a Virtual Wellness Liaison at Magellan Health, you will play a crucial role in connecting individuals with the mental and physical health resources they need to thrive. This 100% remote position involves providing empathetic support, conducting needs assessments, and guiding clients through our extensive network of wellness programs and providers. You will be a beacon of support, ensuring clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to take charge of their well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial assessments of client needs related to mental health, physical wellness, and social support.
  • Educate clients on available wellness programs, benefits, and community resources.
  • Facilitate referrals to appropriate in-network and out-of-network providers and services.
  • Provide ongoing support and follow-up to ensure clients are successfully engaging with resources.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to enhance client care and service delivery.
  • Participate in continuous training and professional development related to wellness trends and resource management.

Required Skills

  • Ability to navigate and explain complex health information and resources.
  • Proficiency with virtual communication tools and basic office software.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Experience in case management, care coordination, or health coaching.
  • Familiarity with mental health and substance abuse resources.
  • Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish/English).
