Job Description
Are you a student in Long Beach looking for a flexible, active, and rewarding part-time job? Pawsitive Pet Care Long Beach is seeking enthusiastic and responsible Student Dog Walkers to join our team! Key Responsibilities
- Safely and reliably walk dogs on pre-scheduled routes, ensuring their well-being and enjoyment.
- Adhere to client instructions regarding pet care, walking routines, and any special needs.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment during walks, including proper waste disposal.
- Provide fresh water and basic care before and after walks as needed.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding their pet's activities and any observations.
- Report any unusual behavior or health concerns to Pawsitive Pet Care Long Beach management.
- Utilize our scheduling app to manage your walks and availability.
- Ensure timely arrival for all scheduled appointments.
Required Skills
- Genuine love for animals and comfort working with dogs of all breeds and sizes.
- Ability to walk long distances in various weather conditions.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Reliable transportation to client homes within Long Beach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Punctual and dependable with a strong work ethic.
- Must be 18 years or older.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with dog handling or pet care (personal or professional).
- Familiarity with various dog breeds and their typical temperaments.
- Current enrollment in a college or university program.
- Basic knowledge of dog first aid.
