Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Banker to join our dynamic team in Downtown Fort Wayne. In this role, you will be the face of Chase Bank, providing exceptional service to our clients, assisting with their financial needs, and introducing them to our wide range of products and services. You will build lasting relationships, process transactions accurately, and identify opportunities to help customers achieve their financial goals. Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers in a friendly, professional, and timely manner, understanding their financial needs and goals.
  • Process a variety of banking transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments, with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Open new accounts (checking, savings, CDs) and assist customers with other banking products and services.
  • Identify and refer customers to specialized bank partners (e.g., mortgage lenders, financial advisors) when appropriate.
  • Resolve customer inquiries and issues, escalating complex problems to management as needed.
  • Adhere to all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Actively participate in branch initiatives and team meetings to contribute to overall success.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of Chase Bank's products, services, and digital tools.

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience in a retail, hospitality, or financial setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications and willingness to learn new systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport and trust with customers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Previous experience as a Teller or in a similar banking role.
  • Knowledge of banking products, services, and regulations.
  • Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.
