Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Immunization Tech Aide to join our healthcare team in Portland, Maine. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in healthcare, with full training provided. You will play a vital role in supporting our vaccine clinics, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for patients. This position involves direct patient interaction, administrative tasks, and upholding strict safety protocols. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare immunization stations and ensure all necessary supplies are available and organized.
- Greet and register patients, verifying their identity and scheduled appointments.
- Assist in documenting patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) under supervision.
- Monitor patients post-vaccination for adverse reactions, alerting clinical staff as needed.
- Provide clear and concise post-vaccination instructions to patients.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of clinic areas, adhering to infection control policies.
- Manage clinic flow and patient queues efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Participate in training and development programs as required.
