Job Description

Maxim Healthcare Services is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Entry Level Home Health Aides in Gary, Indiana. As a Home Health Aide, you will provide essential care and support to clients in their homes, helping them maintain their independence and improve their quality of life. Your role will involve assisting with daily living activities, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment, and offering companionship. We are looking for individuals with a strong desire to help others, excellent communication skills, and a reliable work ethic.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Help clients with mobility and transfers, using proper techniques and equipment as needed.
  • Provide medication reminders as directed by the care plan.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties, such as tidying living areas, laundry, and meal preparation.
  • Engage clients in stimulating activities and provide companionship.
  • Monitor and report changes in client's health status or behavior to supervisory staff.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for clients.
  • Adhere strictly to all client care plans and agency policies and procedures.

  • Ability to complete paid orientation and full training program.

  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client homes.

  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience in a caregiving role (formal or informal).
  • CPR and First Aid certification (training can be provided).
