Job Description

No prior experience is needed – we provide full, on-the-job training to ensure you have all the skills to succeed. As a Day Porter, you will be a vital part of maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency of our client’s premises. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and has a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular patrols to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are maintained throughout the premises.
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks such as changing lightbulbs, tightening loose fixtures, or reporting larger issues to management.
  • Manage waste disposal and recycling, ensuring bins are emptied regularly and areas are kept tidy.
  • Assist with setting up and tidying meeting rooms or common areas as required.
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients, staff, and visitors, addressing inquiries and assisting with general requests.
  • Monitor building security, including locking/unlocking doors and reporting any suspicious activities.
  • Respond promptly to spills, accidents, or other urgent cleaning/maintenance needs.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report replenishment needs.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider facilities management team.
