Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Shopify Operations Manager with a strong focus on supply chain to join our team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. This critical role will be instrumental in optimizing our e-commerce operations, specifically leveraging the Shopify platform to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve the overall customer experience. You will manage the end-to-end supply chain processes related to our online store, from inventory management and order fulfillment to logistics and vendor relations. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Shopify, a robust understanding of modern supply chain principles, and a proven ability to drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and optimize all aspects of Shopify platform operations, ensuring seamless functionality and efficiency.
  • Manage the end-to-end supply chain for e-commerce, including inventory planning, procurement, warehousing, and last-mile delivery.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve supply chain efficiency, reduce operational costs, and enhance fulfillment speed.
  • Collaborate with merchandising, marketing, and IT teams to ensure product listings, promotions, and new features are integrated smoothly into Shopify.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to Shopify operations and supply chain, providing regular reports and actionable insights.
  • Identify and implement new Shopify apps, integrations, and features to enhance store performance and operational capabilities.
  • Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and other supply chain vendors, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant shipping regulations, customs procedures, and internal policies.
  • Lead and mentor a small team of operations specialists, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in e-commerce operations, with a strong focus on Shopify and supply chain management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Shopify admin, app ecosystem, and relevant integrations (e.g., ERP, WMS).
  • Proven experience in managing inventory, warehousing, order fulfillment, and logistics processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and drive data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent project management abilities, capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, BI tools).
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, E-commerce, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration.
  • Experience with Shopify Plus and its advanced features.
  • Certifications in supply chain management (e.g., CSCMP, APICS).
  • Familiarity with international shipping regulations and customs clearance.
  • Experience with lean methodologies or Six Sigma principles in an operational context.
