Job Description

Deloitte Insights is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Think Tank Associate to join our dynamic team in New Port Richey. This pivotal role involves contributing to groundbreaking research, analysis, and thought leadership that addresses complex economic, social, and technological challenges. The ideal candidate will possess a strong research background, excellent writing skills, and a passion for turning data into compelling narratives that influence decision-makers. You will work alongside leading experts, engage with diverse stakeholders, and help shape critical discussions that matter.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth qualitative and quantitative research on assigned topics, synthesizing complex information from various sources.
  • Contribute to the drafting and editing of research reports, white papers, articles, and presentations for both internal and external audiences.
  • Analyze data using appropriate statistical and analytical tools to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Support senior researchers and project managers in all phases of the research lifecycle, from conceptualization to dissemination.
  • Present research findings clearly and concisely to internal teams and, occasionally, to external stakeholders.
  • Monitor current events, policy developments, and industry trends relevant to ongoing research projects.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including editors, designers, and subject matter experts.

Required Skills

  • Master's degree in Economics, Public Policy, International Relations, Political Science, Sociology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in research, policy analysis, or a similar role within a think tank, academic institution, or consulting firm.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct rigorous research and analysis.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to distill complex ideas into clear, concise, and engaging content.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, R, Python, SPSS, Stata).
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience with policy impact assessment or strategic foresight methodologies.
  • Familiarity with various research methodologies, including survey design, econometric modeling, or qualitative interviewing.
  • Published research or extensive experience presenting findings at conferences.
  • Fluency in a second language.
