Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented E-commerce Platform Migration Assistant to join our team on a contract basis. This is a 100% remote position, offering immediate start for a project focused on transitioning clients to new e-commerce platforms. The successful candidate will provide essential support to project managers and technical teams, ensuring a smooth and efficient migration process. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in e-commerce operations, project coordination, and data management within a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the collection, organization, and validation of product data, customer information, and other relevant content for migration.
  • Support the project team in preparing data for import into new e-commerce platforms.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on migrated data and site functionalities to identify and report discrepancies.
  • Help maintain project documentation, including migration checklists, status reports, and user guides.
  • Coordinate communication between various stakeholders, including technical teams, content creators, and clients.
  • Provide administrative support to the project manager, scheduling meetings, and tracking deliverables.
  • Assist with testing new platform features and functionalities post-migration.
  • Identify and escalate potential issues or roadblocks to the project team promptly.

Required Skills

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
  • Basic understanding of e-commerce concepts or willingness to learn quickly.
  • Problem-solving aptitude and a proactive approach to tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in an administrative or assistant role.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana) is a plus.
  • Exposure to e-commerce platforms like Shopify, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, or BigCommerce.
  • Experience with data entry and data validation.
