Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Quantitative Chemist with a strong focus on data analytics to join our innovative R&D team. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in chemistry and data science to drive critical insights and accelerate product development. The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing experiments, collecting and analyzing complex chemical data, developing predictive models, and contributing to the advancement of our analytical capabilities. This position offers the flexibility of being 100% remote, allowing you to collaborate with our global teams from your home office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute experiments to generate high-quality chemical data across various analytical platforms (e.g., LC-MS, GC-MS, NMR, spectroscopy).
  • Develop and implement advanced data analytical methods, including statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, and chemometrics, to extract meaningful insights from large datasets.
  • Build and validate predictive models for chemical properties, reaction outcomes, and material performance.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D scientists and engineers to define data requirements, interpret results, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Manage and maintain chemical databases, ensuring data integrity, accessibility, and proper documentation.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of analytical workflows and data processing pipelines.
  • Present findings clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences through reports, presentations, and interactive visualizations.
  • Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in quantitative chemistry, data science, and artificial intelligence.

Required Skills

  • Ph.D. in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Cheminformatics, or a related scientific field with a strong computational component.
  • 3+ years of post-doctoral or industry experience in quantitative analysis and data science.
  • Proficiency in statistical programming languages (e.g., Python, R) and relevant data analysis libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, scikit-learn).
  • Demonstrated experience with multivariate data analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling techniques applied to chemical or biological data.
  • Solid understanding of various analytical chemistry techniques and instrumentation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with cheminformatics tools and software (e.g., KNIME, Pipeline Pilot).
  • Track record of publications or presentations in data analytics applied to chemistry.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and data integrity principles.
