Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Health Aide for a static post position in Columbus, OH. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in a consistent environment and are passionate about providing one-on-one patient care without the requirement of driving between multiple locations. As a Home Health Aide, you will provide essential personal care services, support activities of daily living, and offer companionship to a single client in their home or a designated facility. This is an excellent opportunity to build a strong, supportive relationship with a client and contribute directly to their well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Provide assistance with safe transfers and ambulation.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties relevant to the client's care area.
  • Prepare and serve meals according to dietary instructions.
  • Monitor and report changes in client's health status or behavior to the supervising nurse.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for the client.

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Completion of a state-approved Home Health Aide (HHA) training program or CNA certification.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Compassionate, patient, and reliable demeanor.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Physical ability to perform required tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Successful completion of background check and drug screen.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Home Health Aide in a static or long-term care setting.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Basic knowledge of nutrition and meal preparation.
