Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Health Aide for a static post position in Columbus, OH. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in a consistent environment and are passionate about providing one-on-one patient care without the requirement of driving between multiple locations. As a Home Health Aide, you will provide essential personal care services, support activities of daily living, and offer companionship to a single client in their home or a designated facility. This is an excellent opportunity to build a strong, supportive relationship with a client and contribute directly to their well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide assistance with safe transfers and ambulation.
- Perform light housekeeping duties relevant to the client's care area.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary instructions.
- Monitor and report changes in client's health status or behavior to the supervising nurse.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for the client.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Completion of a state-approved Home Health Aide (HHA) training program or CNA certification.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable demeanor.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Physical ability to perform required tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Successful completion of background check and drug screen.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Home Health Aide in a static or long-term care setting.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Basic knowledge of nutrition and meal preparation.
