Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Hospital Porters. This Band 2 role is critical to the smooth operation of our hospital, ensuring that patients, equipment, and vital supplies are moved efficiently and safely. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for those looking to start a rewarding career in healthcare, even without prior experience. You will be an integral part of our patient care journey, working across various departments to support the clinical teams and ensure a positive environment for all.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transporting patients safely and comfortably between wards, departments, and other areas of the hospital.
  • Moving medical equipment, beds, trolleys, and other apparatus as required.
  • Delivering and collecting specimens, blood products, pharmacy items, and other essential supplies.
  • Managing and transporting waste, linen, and postal services throughout the hospital.
  • Ensuring a clean, tidy, and safe environment in corridors and designated waiting areas.
  • Responding promptly and professionally to requests from clinical and administrative staff.
  • Adhering to all health and safety regulations, infection control policies, and patient confidentiality guidelines.
