Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and physically fit Air Con Installation Labourer to join our dynamic team in Cambridge. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the HVAC industry, working alongside experienced technicians on various air conditioning installation projects, particularly during the peak summer season. You will play a crucial supporting role, ensuring installations are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. We offer competitive ‘High Summer Pay’ rates and provide all necessary tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled HVAC technicians with the installation of air conditioning units and systems.
- Transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from work sites.
- Prepare work areas, including setting up safety barriers and protective coverings.
- Perform general labour duties such as lifting, carrying, digging, and cleaning.
- Help with basic piping, ductwork assembly, and wiring under supervision.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment on site.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Learn and develop new skills related to air conditioning installation and maintenance.
Required Skills
- Strong physical fitness and stamina for manual labour.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of health and safety practices.
- Willingness to learn and contribute to a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a labourer or construction role.
- Valid UK driving license.
- CSCS card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
