Job Description
Are you a high school student looking for your first work experience? Target is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as a High School Retail Helper. This is a part-time position, specifically for Saturday and Sunday shifts, perfect for students balancing school with work. You will assist store operations, help maintain a tidy shopping environment, and support our guests in finding what they need. No prior experience is required; we’re looking for eager learners with a positive attitude!
Key Responsibilities
- Assist guests with general inquiries and direct them to product locations.
- Help organize and restock shelves to ensure products are readily available.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of sales floor areas, including aisles and fitting rooms.
- Support fellow team members with various tasks as needed.
- Process returns and exchanges efficiently and courteously.
- Adhere to all store policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
- Contribute to a positive and friendly atmosphere for both guests and team members.
Required Skills
- Ability to work Saturdays and Sundays.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Punctuality and reliability.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Age 16 or older (as required for employment).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service or retail (even volunteer work).
- Familiarity with Target products and services.
- Basic understanding of retail operations.
