Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Weekend Remote IT Helpdesk (Level 1) – Part-time Support Specialist. This fully remote position is perfect for someone looking to utilize their IT skills to provide essential support during weekend hours. You will be the first point of contact for our internal users, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support via phone, email, and chat for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Troubleshoot common desktop, laptop, mobile device, and application problems.
  • Perform basic account management, including password resets and user access modifications.
  • Document all support interactions, resolutions, and escalations in the ticketing system.
  • Escalate complex issues to appropriate Level 2 support teams when necessary.
  • Assist users with VPN connectivity, printer issues, and basic network troubleshooting.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through professional and courteous service.
  • Adhere to company IT policies and procedures.

Required Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic understanding of Windows and macOS operating systems.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic hardware and software issues.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Availability to work weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday).

Preferred Qualifications

  • CompTIA A+ or ITIL Foundation certification.
  • Experience with an IT Service Management (ITSM) tool (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Desk).
  • Basic knowledge of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Prior experience in a customer service or helpdesk role.
