Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Cello Instructor to join our esteemed faculty at Colorado Conservatory of the Arts. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated musician to inspire the next generation of cellists, providing personalized instruction in a private academy setting. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional performance skills, a deep understanding of cello pedagogy, and a proven ability to connect with students and foster their musical growth. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized cello instruction to students of varying ages and skill levels, from beginners to advanced.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans tailored to each student's goals and learning style.
  • Prepare students for recitals, competitions, auditions, and examinations.
  • Teach music theory, sight-reading, ear training, and proper cello technique.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with students and their parents regarding progress and goals.
  • Foster a positive, encouraging, and challenging learning environment.
  • Participate in faculty meetings and contribute to the Conservatory's artistic community.
  • Stay current with best practices in cello pedagogy and performance.
