Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dispatch Operative with a strong focus on picker packer duties to join our dynamic team in Bradford. This full-time role operates Monday to Friday, offering a consistent schedule. As a Dispatch Operative, you will play a crucial role in our warehouse operations, ensuring the accurate and timely picking, packing, and dispatch of goods. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency, contributing to the smooth flow of our supply chain. Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately pick and pack goods according to order specifications and dispatch instructions.
  • Verify product quantities and quality before packing and dispatch.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks or pump trucks safely and efficiently (training provided if necessary).
  • Prepare items for shipment, including labelling, scanning, and documentation.
  • Load and unload delivery vehicles with precision and care.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure daily targets are met.
  • Report any discrepancies or damage to supervisors promptly.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, particularly in picking and packing.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Physical fitness to lift and move packages up to 20kg.
  • Basic understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Excellent team player with good communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Forklift license (reach or counterbalance) – beneficial but not essential.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards specific to warehouse operations.
