Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and skilled IKEA Patio Support Specialist with a strong focus on unpacking and building to join our team in Salinas, CA. This role is crucial for ensuring our customers receive expertly assembled patio furniture quickly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect furniture shipments, ensuring all components are present and undamaged.
- Carefully unpack and organize furniture parts for efficient assembly.
- Follow detailed assembly instructions and diagrams for various IKEA patio furniture products.
- Utilize basic hand and power tools to accurately and securely assemble furniture.
- Conduct quality checks on all assembled items to ensure stability, safety, and proper functionality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Manage time effectively to meet assembly deadlines and complete tasks swiftly ('Subito').
- Provide excellent service and support during the assembly process, if interacting with customers.
- Communicate any issues or missing parts to supervisors promptly.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to read and interpret assembly instructions and diagrams.
- Proficiency with common hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, etc.) and basic power tools.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift, carry, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good problem-solving skills to overcome assembly challenges.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in furniture assembly, construction, or a related manual trade.
- Familiarity with IKEA furniture products and assembly methods.
- Customer service experience, particularly in a retail or home delivery setting.
