Job Description
Are you outgoing, energetic, and love interacting with people? Sobeys is looking for enthusiastic Promotional Samplers to join our team in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who enjoy weekend work and want to bring fun and flavour directly to our customers. As a Promotional Sampler, you will be the face of exciting new products, offering samples and sharing information to enhance our customers’ shopping experience. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and present product samples to customers in an engaging and hygienic manner.
- Actively engage with customers, providing product information and answering questions.
- Encourage product sales through positive interactions and demonstrations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and attractive sampling station.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Set up and take down promotional displays.
- Report customer feedback and sales data to management.
Required Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Friendly, approachable, and enthusiastic personality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Basic understanding of food handling and hygiene practices.
- Availability to work weekends and occasional evenings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in promotional work, retail, or customer service.
- Knowledge of current food trends and dietary preferences.
- Food Handler's Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
