Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our agricultural team as a Norfolk Field Hand. This ongoing, full-time position is based at our operational hub near Colchester, supporting our regional farming activities. You will play a crucial role in various aspects of crop cultivation, from planting and harvesting to general field maintenance, ensuring the quality and efficiency of our produce supply chain. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and contributing to a vital industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual tasks related to planting, weeding, thinning, and harvesting a variety of crops.
- Operate and maintain basic agricultural tools and equipment under supervision.
- Assist with the preparation of fields, including soil cultivation and irrigation setup.
- Monitor crop health and report any issues or abnormalities to team leaders.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Participate in general farm maintenance and tidiness.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily production targets.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Punctuality and commitment to attendance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in farming, horticulture, or outdoor labor.
- Full UK driving license and access to reliable transport (due to rural location).
- First Aid certification.
- Experience operating small farm machinery.
