Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our Agricultural Hub team as a Norfolk Field Hand. This ongoing, full-time position is based at our Stratford facility, playing a vital role in the initial stages of our food supply chain. You will be responsible for handling, sorting, and preparing fresh produce from various agricultural regions, maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. This is a physically demanding role in a fast-paced environment, ideal for those who enjoy hands-on work and contributing to the fresh food supply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and sort incoming agricultural produce.
  • Perform quality checks to identify and remove damaged or substandard items.
  • Assist with the packing and labelling of fresh produce according to specifications.
  • Operate basic machinery and equipment used in agricultural processing (training provided).
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to strict hygiene standards.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely dispatch of produce.

Required Skills

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Basic communication skills in English.
  • Willingness to work in varying temperatures (coolers, ambient).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, agricultural, or food production environment.
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene principles.
  • Forklift certification (though not essential, advantageous for future growth).
